What is Integral Breathwork?
Integral Breathwork is a healing modality where a person establishes a Conscious Connected Breathing practice and learns to integrate well-being across all domains of life.
Patrick hosts a brave, trauma-sensitive space where dynamic, present-moment awareness can liberate old, unexpressed emotions and resolve limiting beliefs about one’s self. Any thoughts, feelings, memories, or images that arise during a session are integrated with the gentle nurture of connected breathing and present-moment awareness. New baselines of physical, emotional, and spiritual vitality are awakened through the breath and deepened through Patrick’s integrative approach to psychological well-being.
What is Breathwave?
Breathwave is a powerfully gentle approach to Conscious Connected Breathing. Founded by Robin Clements, Breathwave is an internationally-acclaimed modality of breathwork that is known for its impeccable hand-on facilitation from trained facilitators, and its ceremonial understanding of breath as universal medicine. Breathwave is a direct path to self-responsibility and self-realization that requires the active choice of the practitioner to maintain conscious connection with their own breath. The somatic experience of sustaining present-moment awareness with the breath is the equivalent of drinking directly from the source of living water, where deep human needs are quenched and original inspiration is received. In this way, Breathwave is a ceremony of communion with Spirit where people of all faiths and scientific-inquiry can come drink freely.
Learning to bring present moment awareness to a conscious breathing practice activates and deepens sensitivity to our subtle (vibrational, energetic, emotional) bodies. The gentle approach to our innate subtle-sensing capacity via Breathwave safely expands our experience of wholeness and deepens our connection to consciousness itself; holistic well-being is an eventual consequence of living in alignment with the Sprit within this subtle-sensing. Any habitual resistance to the power of Spirit tends to show up as unwholesome patterns in participants' breathing pattern or body posture; Breathwave facilitators help identify and correct these imbalances, making easy the removal of barriers that keep us from sustained coherence with Breath/Spirit.
FAQs:
Why does Breathwave utilize hands-on facilitation support?
Many of our deepest wounds have physical correlations, ways that our body has remembered and contracted against confusing, stressful or undesirable realities. When we practice conscious connected breathing, these patterns of bodily contraction and compensatory behaviors reveal themselves, often unconsciously. Simple, supportive touch communicates safety to the nervous system of the breather in a way that words often cannot. As Breathwave facilitators, we are trained to bring conscious awareness to these blind spots, to help the human body surrender its restrictive memory and encourage a more open and relaxed experience of breathing/living.
Can I receive Breathwave facilitation even if I do not want hands-on support?
Yes, absolutely. It is a core value of Breathwave to honor the needs of the breather, with compassion for their human experience, exactly where they’re at, without judgment. The Breathwave style of conscious connected breathing can be successfully coached verbally, both in-person and virtually. If at any time a breather wishes to abstain or welcome consent for hands-on facilitation, they are encouraged to do so.
How long does a Breathwave experience typically last?
While you will receive benefits from any duration of conscious connected breathing, typical Breathwave experiences last 60-75 minutes. The total duration of a session (including empathic discussion, psychoeducation, guidance, integration, etc.) will vary depending on the needs and intentions of the breather. Spaciousness is encouraged at the end of the conscious breathing experience to honor the deep wisdoms we receive from sustained relaxation, stillness and silence.
Can I practice Breathwave at home by myself?
Yes, a practitioner can learn to safely self-regulate the power of of conscious connected breathing on their own. However, it is highly recommended to work with a trained Breathwave facilitator to receive guidance and feedback about any unconscious breathing behaviors that might contribute to discomfort or undesired intensity in the conscious breathing experience.
Are there any medical or psychological concerns I should be aware of before I participate in Breathwave?
Yes, there are some serious medical and psychological contraindications that a person must consider before any style of conscious connected breathing. Please reach out Patrick directly to articulate your concerns to discern whether or not Breathwave is a safe practice for you.

There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted. Then,
there’s another way; a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity.
